INGREDENTS
1) Jackfruit Jam (chakka Vazhattu) – 1 Cup
2) Rice flour – 1 Cup,
3) Coconut bits – 1 tbsp,
4) Jaggery (melted to a thick sauce) – 1/2 lump
5) Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
6) Salt – 2 pinchs
7) Bay Leaves or Vazhana Illa – 6 to 7 nos
METHOD
1) Mix them all together to a soft dough.
2) Fill them into Vazhana leaf cones, and secure with the leaf tip.
3) Steam in the pressure cooker for 3 whistles.
4) Remove from fire, open the cooker lid.
:- if flexible Bay Leaves or Vazhana Illa are not available for making cones, u can try with alluminium foil. But dont forget to add crushed bay leaves to the dough and fold it in the aluminium foil in a corn shape.
:- Jack fruit jam is the mixer of jackfruit and jagerry.
